The two leaders shook hands and embraced during their meeting. PM Modi also presented Putin with a Russian translation of an ancient Indian text, highlighting people-to-people ties between India and Russia. Their talks are expected to cover bilateral trade and defence cooperation, with discussions also likely on the goal of taking India-Russia trade to $100 billion.
