Mumbai, Maharahstra: In an exclusive interview with IANS, actress Nimisha Sajayan, director Ambiecka Pandit, and producer Sudip Sharma opened up about their upcoming film Babita Singh Reporting! Nimisha Sajayan and Ambiecka Pandit spoke about the prevalence of patriarchy in today’s society, body-shaming issues, and how feminism is not about hating men. The trio also addressed the common stereotype of linking two people romantically simply because they are seen together, irrespective of their actual relationship. Producer Sudip Sharma spoke about backing such a different and unconventional project, acknowledging the commercial risks involved in supporting a film that challenges conventional storytelling. Nimisha also reflected on her previous film The Great Indian Kitchen, discussing why the woman protagonist was portrayed in a vulnerable and pitiful manner.
