A video of more than 20 goats being run over by a train in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh surfaced on social media.<br /><br />The incident reportedly took place on 16 September, when some women were taking the goats across a railway track.<br /><br />A gateman alerted them and managed to get the women off the track, but the goats could not be saved.<br /><br />After the accident, RPF personnel reached the site and had the tracks cleared.<br /><br />The livestock owners suffered significant losses and have demanded compensation.<br /><br />In India, thousands of domestic livestock and wild animals die every year after straying onto open railway tracks.
